Material Science is the study of all materials. To make any engineered structure, device or product you need the right material. From those we use and see every day like sunglasses or sport equipment, to those used in aerospace, military or medical applications.

At porefab, we can control the structure of a material from an atomic level up, so that its properties can be tailored to suit a particular application. From quantum dots, ferro/piezo/thermo electric materials, to materials that can be used in drug delivery systems. A core strength of our's is the ability to design surfactant templates for many different mesoporous material applications.

Material Science has a huge impact on societal changes including renewable and sustainable energy, manufacturing efficiency, healthcare, biotechnology, aerospace and transport, communications and information technology. For Material Scientists, understanding how a material works, allows them to create new materials, for new applications, while developing and improving the existing performance and manufacturing process.
